September, 1999 - Max

Wow, is summer really almost over?  As we head into the last Fall season of the 20th Century, we at fuzzydog are proud to award our September POM to Max, an American Eskimo that's fully Y2K compatible.  You'll have to check out Max's Website to get the rationale behind his Y2K compatibility, but (needless to say) it's obviously an argument only a dog would try to pull off... :-)  In any case, Max and his website are full of interesting and entertaining sections, including Max's "Y2K Peskie Contest", which you might consider entering if you own (or are owned by) an Eskie.

You May Be An American Eskimo Dog (Eskie) Owner If:

• All of your shoes and socks routinely disappear from your closet and reappear on the living room floor.
• Your dog has ever been mistaken for a cat.
• Anyone has ever asked you, "Is that dog hard to keep clean?"
• You own stock in a rawhide chewy company. You own more than one vacuum cleaner.
• "Fuzz butt" is a common term in your daily vocabulary.
• You buy shampoo designed to MAKE hair look white or gray.
• You're always telling your dog to get off the dining room table or off the window sill.
• You've ever gotten whiplash from walking your dog.
• Your clothing and decorating choices are directly related to the color of your dog.
• You own at least one example of every anti-barking device known to man.
• Your dog is smarter than your kids.
• You own stock in a lint brush company.
• Your dog makes it a point to always sit on the darkest piece of furniture you own because he contrasts nicely with it.
• You have child-proof locks on your refrigerator and pantry whether you have kids or not.

• After a bath, your dog has shrunk to one-third his normal size.
• You've traded in all of your wooden furniture for metal.
• Your dog's nails are nicely worn down from trying to dig to China through the middle of your bed.
• You're constantly finding white hairs in everything from your peanut butter to your toothpaste.
• You live in mortal fear of letting your dog outside when it's muddy.
• Your dog always finds something to bark at when you're on the phone.
• People always call your male dog a "she" even after you correct them.
• Your dog thinks getting squirted in the face with a squirt gun is fun.
• You've ever asked your dog, "What's so darn funny?!"
• After brushing your dog, you have enough loose fur to knit another dog.
• Your dog's idea of "begging" is to jump right into the middle of your dinner plate.
• Your dog has figured out how to shut off your computer.
