May, 1998 - Pooh Bear

Here's one of those cool combinations of form and functionality...

As you can probably tell from his picture, Pooh Bear (a Yorkshire Terrier) really excels in the 'cuteness' department.  That's three pounds of fur and energy for his lucky humans!  However, Pooh Bear also manages to more than pull his weight around the house, serving as a warning system for his mommy, who suffers from epilepsy.  As Pooh Bear writes:

"I can ALERT mommy when she is going to have a seizure. This gives her time to lay down rather than falling down and hurting herself. My mommy is an Epileptic. Her seizures are under control, but every now and then she has one. My ears will fall and she will get in bed to have a seizure. I always stay with her to make sure she is A-OK."

Naturally, Pooh Bear's mommy also takes good care of him, something you'll have a chance to see when you visit his webpage. Be sure to scroll down and read "Ouch That Hurts!" and you'll know what we mean...

Congratulations on the POM award, Pooh Bear!!!
