July, 1998 - Timmy

Hi everyone, how's it going?

As usual, we continue to be amazed at how quickly month after month goes by, but that's okay with us since every new month means a new POM!  This month, POM honors go to Timmy, a Border Collie/Flat Coated Retriever mix who lives "down under" in Australia.  Adopted from a dog sanctuary by his humans Steve and Julee, Timmy's happily living his life doing all the things he likes to do.  What things are those, you ask?  Well, as Timmy puts it:

"There are lots of things that I like to do...... eat (especially big meaty bones on the back lawn like I'm doing in the photo above); go for long walks by the river; sleep on my back under the airconditioner vent in the lounge so that the cool air tickles my tummy; have a back massage by my mum; eat breakfast of either my special biscuits or some toast with my dad; go for walks at the local oval; ride in my mum's car with my head hanging out of the window so that the wind rushes in my face; having a swim in the river on a hot day; chase the magpies (an Aussie bird) either on the oval or out of my garden; eat a snack or two..."

That's hardly all of the list...you need visit Timmy's site for the rest of it.  It's not a bad list for a dog, and a good bit of it sounds pretty good for humans too, so be sure to check it out.  While you're there, don't forget to read Timmy's Tale as well...it's a great story!
