July, 1997 - Piper

"Don't let your parents make you a website, if you don't already have one.  Believe me, it all starts out about you and then guess who is on the 'puter all day?  It doesn't take me long to add my diary entry and advice, so why does it take so long for Mommy to do everything else..." -- Piper

Well, believe it or not another month's upon us and along with that, we also have a new POM here at fuzzydog.  This month we've selected Piper, a Shih Tsu hailing from Alexandria, Virginia.  Not only is Piper one extremely cute dog, his website, Piper's Dog House, is also a well organized and highly informative center for all kinds of dog info.  Aside from the dog book reviews on the site, and Piper's diary, Piper and his Mom also have an advice column, each with their own section.  Here's a couple of excerpts:

Mommy's Advice - "If you have trouble applying ear medicine, try to put a little bit of the medicine on your finger and rub it in the dog's ear. Don't forget a treat after you're done!"

Piper's Advice - "For those of us with the floppy ears, ear infections can happen very easily. So, if you see someone coming at you with a tube of ear medicine (usually a white tube with a long attachment that they stick in your ear) RUN! If you are captured, be sure to wiggle and shake your head so that the ear medicine stays where it belongs - anywhere but your ear!!!"
