May, 2000 - Kizzie
"My story began on 6th July 1998 when I was born. I was one of a litter of 6 puppies. My Mum was a Corgi x Jack Russell and I'm told that my Dad was a 'brown dog'. I find this description of my dad a bit on the vague side, but apparently, in the world of doggie rescue, that's sometimes as definite as it gets. Anyway, all was well at the beginning - lots of food, warmth and cuddles. Then one day, it all changed. My Mum became poorly and she could no longer feed us. Our human Mum phoned HOME RESCUE in a very distressed state. We were only 2 weeks and 5 days old and we'd not been fed for a while.
A funny looking couple of humans came and bundled us into a cardboard thing and took us for a ride in a machine that weaved around and made us sick when we went around corners. When we got to our destination, we were split into two groups:- Crumble, Fidgit & Pebbles were to stay at this new house, but Otis, Bracken & I were on the move again - we were off to Chez Doyle..."
Boy, this dog can WRITE!!
Happy May, everyone, and welcome to this month's POM. The beginnings of Kizzie's diary are presented above...and let's just say it keeps going (and going, and going) from there. :-) This little pup can obviously speak for herself, so we're just going to get out of the way and point you directly to Kizzie's Site!! There's a diary, there's poetry and there's prose. Need we say more??
