I suppose I should say up-front that I approached this film with a lot of skepticism. "Michael Jordan meets Bugs Bunny, how cool!" Market, market, market, sell, sell, sell. Makes you wonder if you're walking into a movie or a 90-minute commercial.
Well, sports fans, you're walking into both. Space Jam is a film that mixes live action and animation, as his Air-ness Michael Jordan gets sucked into the Looney Tunes' world in order to help them win a basketball game against the cartoon-aliens from Moron Mountain. The reason the Tunes need to win the basketball game--to save themselves from enslavement by the aforementioned Morons, of course.
For most, watching this film will be a painless experience, and the cartoon antics will probably make great entertainment for kids. Unfortunately, there's not much else that makes Space Jam worth recommending. There's literally nothing here (from the NBA clips of Jordan to the cartoons themselves) that you couldn't get from turning on your TV. The special effects to merge cartoons and live-action is also not new (seen Roger Rabbit?), and thus adds little to the "wow" factor in this movie. And finally, it was especially disappointing that one of my suspicions going into this film was confirmed: Michael can't act. At all.

very funny. Bill Murry was great as usual but I couldn't give the movie
the full 5 stars because Michael Jordan just didn't do his part in the
movie. He isn't good as an actor and he ruined the movie for me. I watched
the movie for the toons and I still watch it for the toons but Jordan sucked

job, it shows so blattenly. The only apeal (Noted!) is the cartoon charactors
I love so much.Even I could have told a better story between them cartoons

lessons. His acting was so off and un'expressive, it was linear, mono tone.
Benjamen Stien looks like an action hero when compared to Jorden on expressions,
