Studio Synopsis: Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) was personally shaken by his encounter with live dinosaurs, but he remains determined to study them. Desperate to fund research for a new theory about velociraptor intelligence, he's particularly vulnerable when the wealthy Kirbys (William H. Macy and Tea Leoni) approach him, offering money for his presence on an aerial tour of Isla Sorna, adjacent to Isla Nublar, the site of Grant's nightmarish experiences. Once fate causes them to crash on the island, he learns that it was a scam concocted by the Kirbys to get an experienced guide to help them find and rescue their son, who vanished while vacationing... not realizing that Grant's prior visit was NOT to Isla Sorna. Marooned in a savage land, they have to struggle to escape from all sorts of new creatures with their lives.

Fuzzydog Review: Okay, let's face it.  As the third film in the highly successful Jurassic Park series, Jurassic Park III isn't going to win any points for originality or creativity.  At this point all the "ooh-and-ahh" wonder of discovering dinosaurs are gone, and even the technical thrills of seeing CGI dinos have disappeared.  Heck, even Steven Spielberg is gone, with directing duties left to Joe Johnston (October Sky, Jumanji).  Instead, what we're left with is a straight-on, single-purposed rollercoaster ride.  The dinos are on an island, people land the island, the dinosaurs eat.  That's it, that's all...munch munch munch.  Fortunately, as single-purposed rollercoaster rides go, Jurassic Park III isn't all that bad.  There's not much here in terms of plot or character development, but a good deal of campiness emerges to take its place, making the film's many "roll your eyes" kind of scenes more bearable.  If this is all you expect out of Jurassic Park III, you'll be fine; otherwise, beware...there may be great disappointment ahead.

David Rogers gives this movie  stars: "Luckily I wasn't expecting this to top the first two so I wasn't as dissapointed as the rest, but dissapointed nontheless. The fight between the T-Rex and Spino wasn't as exhilarating as they promised because it was so short, there are some kills so early on that there is no time to find out who the victom is and you find yourself asking "Who the hell was he?", and it leaves many plot holes. JP3 does redeam itself with the return of Sam Neill and the addition of William H Macy, though. The raptors are cooler than ever and the spinosaurus (though it didn't put the Rex to shame as they promised) was neat to look at. Some funny lines ("Don't move a muscle!") are here and there also. If you are looking for something that can honestly be said as being as good as the first two, skip this, but if your going to have a good time looking at dinos, maybe have a laugh or two, this is the movie for you." (9/6/01)

It is so much like the first to and there is no way that a kid could survive 8 weeks on the island when in the first they were there for like what 2 days and look how hard it was for them. The first jurrasic park movie was AWSOME...the second one was GREAT....and the third...OH MY GOD! what can I tell...the story was made to be the same line story, mostly about bunch of people went to the jurrasic island to rescue a kid ( that survived in that island for 8 weeks straight, you've gotta be kidding, right? i mean ALONE in the island fulls of raptors and other predators, that's what i called cheesy man! I am sorry, i was a fan of jurrasic park but not anymore.....and the the story goes on, the same thingy again people get killed by dino's, running around, hiding around, old same-o "surprises" and sounds effect...i almost went to sleep....and the WORST thing is the ending, OH MY GOD! they just smiled like hell when they saw those big birds flew in the sky heading for nowhere....gosh! Ah I see! there must be jurrasic park 4 and everything is gonna be the same-o same-o again, same story lines...Can i give u suggestion?! if you do think about making jurrasic park 4, Change the story will ya, don't be like people get killed by dino's, get chased or something like that ...instead...let's make a story like we're the one who chased and killed them, let's make a story like people get tired of the jurrasic park and they decided to close the park forever and kill all of the dino's inside...then they will send troops, tank or i don't know you make it....that's what I meant by CHANGING the STORY please!!! GOSH! jurrasic park 3 SUCKS! very bad ending and boring story!" (7/20/01)
