I won't spend a lot of time on this review.  First Kid, starring Sinbad as a Secret Service officer assigned to protect (babysit) the President's 13-year-old son, is a comedy with a predictable storyline, average acting, and only the occasional moment of true hilarity.  Those who are Sinbad fans will recognize and appreciate his usual brand of humor and his very likeable persona, but beyond that this movie has little to offer.  If you want to catch Sinbad at his best, I'd recommend viewing one of his stand-up comedy specials rather than this film, which is formula, formula, formula from start to finish.

Admittedly, I haven't seen every film released this year: but First Kid must feature the largest spitwad projected onto the silver screen in 1996...
