Studio Synopsis: In a contest to win the national cheerleading championships for the sixth year in a row, Torrance Shipman (Kirsten Dunst), team captain of the San Diego Toros at Rancho Carne High School, must show her team how to beat out their rival squad, the Clovers. Clovers' captain Isis (Gabrielle Union) is struggling to raise enough money to make it to the competition, while Torrance is facing up to the fact that her team's cheers are not original. A comic face-off between die-hard cheerleaders, BRING IT ON has teen spunk, team spirit, and lots of girl power.

Fuzzydog Review: There's something inherently silly about a film that's strictly focused on the trials and tribulations of high school cheerleading.  No, this isn't a film you go to for intellectual stimulation.  Instead, Bring It On is about light, bubblegummy, peppily-paced comedy with the same kind of sensibility that made the infamous Clueless so popular.  Kirsten Dunst and her supporting cast of cheerleaders are excellent in their roles, giving the film an odd likeability that I found pleasantly surprising.  With more than a few entertaining dance/cheerleading sequences, and a generally good-natured, positive demeanor throughout, Bring It On is a movie that easily fulfills its bubblegum ambitions.  This isn't the stuff of classics, but it's good for a few laughs and an entertaining evening at the theatres.  Hey, what more could you ask from a high school cheerleading flick??  :-)
